This year Lichfield hosts Café International; a celebration of International Street Food and Drinks in the beautiful surroundings of Beacon Park. Café International will feature the most delicious and wonderful flavours from around the world, with the theatrics of street cooking.
Café International will open for the first time at 10am on Saturday 5 May, welcoming all ‘Foodies’ who wish to sample International fare without crossing border control. French Crepes, Sicilian Cannoli and Japanese Hirata Buns are just some of the delights on offer at Café International. Guests will be able to enjoy their international cuisine from the comfort of a stunning central marquee with a fully stocked, licensed bar which will be open until 10pm. Two further Capri Marquees will house Gin and Prosecco bars where guests can dine in style on the Rattan furniture. The Event Organisers are asking their traders to cater for all dietary requirements, such as gluten free or vegan options.
The children have not been left out either as the Event Organisers understand the importance of family time, with Entertainment, Food and Drink for the little ones too.
The organisers have been working closely with Lichfield District Council with the aim of supporting the Lichfield Historic Parks project and bringing people from across Staffordshire and beyond into the vibrant city of Lichfield.
Café International, the Lichfield based Events Management Company, was created by Stefan and Nicola, a young couple who live in Lichfield and own the Lichfield based creperie; ‘Cathedral Crepes’ which can be found outside Samuel Johnson’s Birthplace on a Saturday.
Nicola said: “As self-confessed Foodies who love Lichfield we are very excited to be working with Lichfield District Council to support Lichfield’s picturesque parks with this unique dining experience. The free events will bring families together to dine in the wonderful parks. Street Food is becoming increasingly popular and it is great to support mobile caterers who share our passion for food and the theatre of open air cookery”.
Stefan said: “We are very grateful for all the support and involvement the Lichfield District Council has given, without them this event would not be happening. We love Lichfield and are excited to bring something new to the City. We both have a background in healthcare and want to promote the work of local charities and community organisations as part of our event”.
Café International are offering pre-bookable VIP seating areas for parties which will provide secured seating and table service for drinks.
